Argyle Mine: A Slow Death Accelerated?

Is this your next chance to miss the investment of the century?

For years, Rare Investment has been predicting when the Argyle Mine closes; the price of Champagne diamonds will soar to uncharted heights. Is it possible, the day is coming sooner than the 2019?

Can you see why our predictions are ringing in your ears?

Remember when Jennifer Lopez first flaunted a six-carat pink diamond engagement ring in front of cameras in 2004? That moment, combined with Rio Tinto’s announcement of the Argyle mine’s permanent closure in 2019, caused the popularity and prices of Pinks to skyrocket as high as 6 and 7 figures and have continued since. Just imagine where you would be today, if you had secured your position in the Pink diamond explosion?

As you carefully consider the following information, remember is not too late to lock in your position on Champagne and Cognac diamonds from Rare Investment.

The Pink explosion is happening all over again, but this time with Champagne diamonds. As you may know, the AK1 open pit mine, the ‘life and vein’ of the Argyle Mine’s production is dying a slow death. This mine is responsible for producing one-fifth of the world’s diamond supply. 90% supply of Pink diamonds and the 'vast majority' of Champagne diamonds will cease to exist by 2019.

The shocker! Recent headline news indicates it may be much sooner than expected.

For the full year 2011, Argyle production dropped 24 percent to 7.441 million carats....

Argyle’s entire diamond production was supposed to be exhausted by 1999. Wanting to milk every opportunity, the Rio Tinto Board conducted a pre-feasibility study in 2001 to see whether it was viable to develop an underground mine. The board approved the decision to go ahead with open pit mining in 2005. This order extended the mine’s life-span until 2019. As we speak, the Argyle mine is in transition from the current open pit operation and they have no idea how long this will last or what they will find – if anything.

What we do know is that Champagne diamonds are the newest endangered specimen. As you read this, it is probably beginning to sink in that the time to invest in champagne diamonds is running out –the million-dollar question is how much time do you really have? We've all learned painful lessons from the soaring appreciation history for Pink diamonds. When “rarity” is coupled with explosive “demand”, rare gems experience continual and aggressive appreciation.
